Roy, it's a greylag/canada goose. Greylags are notorious for breeding with other species, in fact all our domestic geese derive from Greylags. There are many resident breeding flocks of Canada geese in the UK and where they come into contact with Greylags they sometimes breed. This is a great shot, it's very unusual but not unique.
